How many athletes do you think carry Professional Business Cards?
Do you think they should or do their agents handle all that? It seems that it would be proper for athletes to carry them but it would be improper for them to hand out their personal information. Maybe they can carry the cards with their agents info on it. Just a thought.

The Use of magnetic water in urinary and kidney disorders has been documented. Magnetic water has been prescribed to persons suffering from renal calculus in scientific studies. An adult suffering from renal stone is advised one-liter magnetic water per day, while in case of child it is 500ml per day. Results have been very encouraging.
I found this on the Drlam.com site. I guess a Magnetic Water Softener is on my purchase list.

Metabolism Help!!!

One of the worst things I can't stand about by weight is my lack of a good metabolism. I can train for weeks but I'm one of those people who has to consistantly stay at it too see results. I'm in a real need for a high quality metabolism booster that works. I'm obviously sick and tired of working so hard with no results. Being a former athlete it's tough to see my body go through this. I guess I could diet better!! Any thoughts?

SEC Hoops teams go 3-1 Wednesday night

3 SEC men's teams get victories in Wednesdays college hoops action. There was Arkansas who got to (9-2) by beating Texas Tech, Mississippi State got to (8-4) with a victory over Holy Cross and Mississippi got by SE Louisiana to move to 8-3.

The only loss for the SEC last night was Georgia, who lost a close game to #21 Nevada and fell to (7-3) overall.

SEC Women in AP Top 25 and own the top 10

With two teams in the top 3 and 3 more in the top 25 the SEC women look poised to rule women's college basketball this year.

The SEC is represented by #1 Tennessee (9-0), #3 LSU (7-0), #15 Georgia (7-2), #19 Vanderbilt (8-2) and just in this week #24 Ole Miss (9-1). There are also 3 women's SEC teams getting top 25 votes. (Kentucky, Florida and South Carolina)

Here are some examples of this SEC women's Dominance. #1 Tennessee has won on the road against current #8 Maryland, current #10 Stanford and at home against current #11 Michigan State, and did it with a 13 point average margin of victory.

#3 LSU beat previously unbeaten and #4 Ohio State by the score of 64-48 and then followed that up with a 30 point victory over conference foe Kentucky.

It will be interesting to see how things shake out in the SEC women's races now that the conference schedules are beginning.

Wildcats Stop Free Fall with Victory over Cardinals

After losing 2 of its last 3 games and 3 of its last 10 all to lower ranked teams, the Kentucky Wildcats stop their tumble in the standings 7th to 23rd. The free fall was stopped when Kentucky beat the crap out of their in state rivals the #4 Louisville Cardinals by a score 73-61. This victory help Kentucky climb back to #19 in the AP to 25 and dropped from the ranks of the unbeaten to #11.

Other SEC Teams in the top 25: #5 Florida (10-0) and #23 Tennessee (6-0)

Georgia Bulldogs to move to Atlanta

With a big 14-7 win over now #24 Georgia Tech (7-4) in Atlanta and an even bigger 34-14 win over now #10 LSU (10-2) in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta, # 8 Georgia (10-2) is now scheduled to play # 11 West Virginia (10-1) in the Sugar Bowl in, you guessed it Atlanta. If Georgia can pull of this win, look for them to move to say goodbye to the Hedges and hello to the ATL before the start of next season.

Terry Bowden Picks Georgia in SEC Championship Game

Former Auburn football coach, Yahoo Sports Writer and ABC sports commentator Terry Bowden and Sports Illstrated writer John Walters think that Georgia will beat LSU in this weekends SEC Championship Game. I think that they are wrong for the same reason that they think they are correct. We all agree that this will be a low scoring game and a hard fought defensive battle, seeing that both teams are ranked in the top 5 nationally in scoring defense. They think that LSU will make more mistakes and that Georgia will make one more big plays on offense. I think that because LSU has been in and won more close games this year, they have the edge over Georgia even though it is virtually a home game for the Bulldogs. My pick LSU by 4.

SEC Championship only conference Title game worth Watching!

The SEC championship is the only Conference Championship Game that is worth watching this weekend. You have #3 LSU (10-1) facing #13 Georgia (9-2) and both teams rank in the top 5 in scoring defense. In the ACC you have # 5 Virginia Tech (9-2) taking on unranked and losers of 3 in a row Florida State (7-4). The not so Big-12 has #2 Texas (11-0) taking on a team they have already pasted 42-17, unranked Colorado (7-4). The only other game on Saturday that is worth watching at all is USC versus UCLA, I hope that someone will finally stop the pretenders from this improbable romp through the crappy Pac-10.

Why is LSU not getting any BCS love??????????

Assuming #3 (#4 in the BCS) LSU beats #13 Georgia, why is it that LSU has no shot at the BCS Championship game, even if USC and/or Texas lose?

LSU will have one the Conference Title in the Best Overall Conference in the country and they will still get passed over again for the BSC Title game just like the Auburn was last year. It is clear to me that there is a Nationwide SEC bias, while poor little Pete Carroll says there is a West Coast bias. Pete is full of it, they would not have beaten LSU in ’03 and they would not have beaten Auburn in ’04 that’s why he loves the BCS now, he does not have to play the best teams in the country to continue winning national titles.

SEC Hoops Teams in AP top 25

The SEC is currently represented in the top 25 by 4 teams. There are the #10 Kentucky Wildcats (4-1) , # 11 Florida Gators (5-0), #18 Alabama Crimson Tide (2-1) and the newest entrant into the top 25 the #25 LSU Tigers (3-0)

LSU enters the top 25 after an impressive victory over now unranked West Virginia who before the game were ranked #13.

Other teams to watch for over the next couple of weeks Vanderbilt Commodores (4-0) and the South Carolina Gamecocks (4-1) and last seasons NIT champions. Look for the SEC to challenge the ACC and the Big East for best conference in '05-'06.

SEC Championship game only Conference Championship worth watching.

The SEC, ACC and Big 12 all have a Conference Championship game this Saturday to help decide which team from that Conference should receive the automatic BCS birth, the only problem with this is, only one these games has a compelling match up were either team that wins is deserving of a automatic BCS birth, the other 2 games are Jokes.

The SEC has #3 LSU (10-1) taking on #13 Georgia (9-2) which would mean at worst a 10 game winner will represent the SEC in the BCS, while the other 2 conferences could possibly although highly unlikely send a 4-loss team to a BCS game.

The Big 12, has #2 Texas (11-0), which snuck by unranked Texas A & M (5-6), on it's way to a title game with unranked Colorado (7-4). Incidentally, Texas already crushed 42-17 in their first meeting, so this game is a must see. Then you have the ACC who will have #5 Virginia Tech taking on unranked Florida State (7-4) who got blasted by #17 Florida (8-3) 34-7 in losing their 3rd straight game.

Sounds to me like the BCS has it right, just ask Auburn '04 (12-0) and Auburn '05 (9-2).

# 3 LSU stumbles by unranked Arkansas

The #3 LSU Tigers (10-1) started last Fridays battle for the boot against Arkansas (4-7) like a #3 ranked team and then finished it like a team lucky to considered for a bowl game, much less a team that won its Division and is playing in it conference championship game with an automatic BCS birth on the line.

But they did win and will play #13 Georgia (9-2) who beat #24 Georgia Tech (7-4) to earn its spot against LSU in the SEC Title game Saturday December 3rd in Atlanta.

Should be a great game.

Phillip Fulmer Should Go!!!!!!!!

For Phillip Fulmer, things were already bad enough, not only had his old buddy Steve Spurrier beaten him again, he also lost to Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Notre Dame. Not that these are not all good programs, but losing to South Carolina and Vanderbilt in one year is unthinkable in Volunteer country. I think maybe the league has passed him buy. He did beat LSU, but with all of the issues regarding Hurricane Katrina it is understandable that LSU may have a let down, which they did. LSU owned Tennessee and then the mental fatigue of having to bring good will to an entire state hit them the same time the adrenaline high of playing their first home game of the season in week 3 had left them, Tennessee still won, but LSU was not the same team they are today. Maybe Tennessee needs to go the way of the Gamecocks, Gators and Tigers and get a new and improved coach in order to keep up with the Jones. I think he is washed up, besides who wants Elmer Fudd for a head coach.

LSU is #3 USA Today and Harris Polls, but PSU is #3 in the BCS

#4 Penn State (10-1) moves past #3 LSU to the #3 spot in this weeks BCS standings which provides one more obstacle for LSU in their hopes to win a national title in '05. Both PSU and LSU still are holding out hope that they can make the Rose Bowl to play in the BCS national championship game.

But in order for either team to get there, they will need some help in the form of a lose from either Texas (10-0) or USC (11-0) and LSU needs to pass PSU in the BCS rankings in order to get to the title game. LSU is currently #3 in all the human polls, but still has to play Arkansas this Friday and assuming they get by them they must then play BCS #15 Georgia in the SEC title game. If LSU can beat both of those teams, they should move past PSU and move into the #3 spot in the BCS.

SEC Football Weekend Wrap Up

With its 45 to 13 win over Kentucky (3-7), the Georgia Bulldogs (8-2) have clinched the Eastern Division crown and will play the winner of the West in the SEC Championship game on Saturday December 3rd.

South Carolina (7-4) lost to in state rival Clemson (7-4) 13 to 9 and is awaiting its bowl bid, which my guess is the Peach, but we will have to wait and see.

LSU (9-1) pounded Mississippi (3-7) by a score of 40 to 7 to stay in control of the Western Division race and by virtue of Miami's loss to Georgia in the ACC, they have moved up to 3rd in all the national polls and still have an outside shot at making it to the BCS championship game for the second time in 3 years.

Auburn (9-2) rolled Alabama (9-2) by a score of 28 to 18 to keep it dwindling hopes alive of winning the West and getting back to the SEC title game for the second straight year. Auburn would need LSU (9-1) to lose to Arkansas (4-6) this coming Friday in order to take the West.

Vanderbilt (5-6) beats hapless Tennessee (4-6) for the first time in 22 years, while the loss for Tennessee means that they will not be in a bowl game for the first time since 1988.

Arkansas (4-6) beats up on Mississippi State (2-8) by a score of 44 to 10.

Clemson Tigers beat the South Carolina Gamecocks

The South Carolina versus Clemson game started with a pregame hand shake at the middle of the field so both teams could collectively move past the brawl the two teams had in Death Valley last season. I am pretty sure that this whole thing was totally about public image and not because the Tigers and Gamecocks have decided to become friendly rivals all of a sudden. I think the whole thing is bizarre.

If anyone thinks that they said anything nice to each other when they meet at mid-field, you are sorely mistaken. These two teams hate each other and always will. I can see it now Charlie Whitehurst (Clemson QB) says to Blake Mitchell (Gamecocks QB), I wish you the best of luck and have a great game, lets play fair and have some fun so we can all have Pie, Cake and Ice Cream together after the game. It was a nice gesture I guess, but they are getting ready to do battle for 60 minutes and the schools and the coaches decide that they should play patty cake prior to the game. It make me sick.

Oh yeah the Gamecocks lost 13-9 after Clemson completed a late touchdown drive that started with 1st and 37 from their own 28 yard line. Despite the loss Steve Spurrier should be very pleased with 7-4 and a bowl game his first year with the Gamecocks.
